The Power that was Jesus

Jesus “Christ” was the son of God born as a man to bring God’s message to mankind. But Jesus was not Christ. “Christ” was not a person, nor even Jesus’s surname, but a title, referring to the fact that God had commissioned that His power, the Christ Power, flow through Jesus the man, so that he could impart the highest truth as given by God, to mankind.

What is that Power called Christ? Christ isn’t a person, it is the Power, the loving energy that permeates and sustains everything in this universe and is the very source of our being, vibrating in every molecule of our body. This Power called Christ, God, or Master, existed before Jesus. It has existed ever since the world began.

When I came here on my last visit, people asked me: “When is Christ returning? “ I asked them: “Has He ever left you?” I quoted to them the very words: “I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” If He has not left us, then where does the question of coming back arise? The reason we ask these things is because, perhaps, we have not gone far enough into the mystery of Christ.     Sant Kirpal Singh

This is why Jesus, despite having a perishable human body, could confidently state “Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father”, and further that, ” I will never leave you nor forsake you to the end of the world” - he was referring not to his human self, but to that Power in him.

Being limitless, All-loving and compassionate, God was never constrained to creating only one son, and manifested from time to time at the human pole of the various Masters, wherever and whenever there was a need,  “to show all humanity how to live as the Father would live. “ (a priest as quoted by Sant Kirpal Singh)

The same teachings have been given by the Masters of all religions. They were all sons of God; ie: the Father worked through them as one. “Whoever follows Them, meets God, for he is given contact with God.” (Sant Kirpal Singh)

Someone told me … that Christ is the highest since He had said: “I and my Father are One.”— “That’s all right,” I said, “but if other Masters also uttered (said) the same words, (in their own languages in their own times ), how would you consider them? ..Many others as well spoke the same.  Sant Kirpal Singh

In our mind, we often think of true Masters like Jesus as great men, but in reality they were far greater. They were one with the Power, and that never dies.

In the approaching Golden Age, unlike the Iron Age, there will be no more physical Masters for outer guidance, so the realization that the same Christ Power is within us, is the highest goal of human life.
